Ashley Reynolds Marshall started as the City’s first Deputy City Manager for Racial Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in May 2021. She oversees a portfolio that includes Communications, Human Resources, Social Services, Human Services, Police Civilian Oversight Board, Parks and Recreation, Human Rights, Information Technology, and the City’s Office of Racial Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, which includes Home to Hope, the Downtown Job Center, and ADA. She provides internal organizational support for all REDI efforts including serving as the LGBTQIA+ liaison.
