City Hall Lobby Closed

Due to extensive water damage, the lobby of City Hall will be closed for an extended period of time while repairs and renovations take place. During this construction, some City Hall offices have been relocated to alternate locations. Here are the locations for a few frequently visited offices:

City Treasurer’s Office: For City payments and tax inquires, please visit 501 E Main St, located on the mall side garage entrance by the elevator (co-located with Parks and Recreation Admin) between the hours of 8:30-4:30.

Commissioner of the Revenue’s Office: For questions concerning personal property, tax relief programs, and business taxes, please visit CitySpace, directly above Parks & Rec – accessed via the stairs (or the ramp) off of 5th Street SE.

Neighborhood Development Services: For questions concerning permits and planning, please call 434-970-3182 or continue to visit the Market St Entrance to City Hall.

Utility Billing Office: For questions concerning new utility service or account services, please call 434-970-3211 or visit the Ambassador Kiosk located in front of City Hall.

Other City Hall offices: Please visit the Ambassador Kiosk located in front of City Hall.

The best parking option for City hall remains the Market St Parking Garage at 546 E Market St, including free parking for the first hour.
