May 4, 2020

Absentee In-Person Voting begins May 8, 2020 for the June 23, 2020 Dual Primary


CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - Beginning Friday, May 8, 2020, the Office of Elections and Voter Registration will be open to the public for the start of absentee in-person voting for the June 23, 2020 Dual Primary.

In-person voting hours are Mon-Fri from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday, June 20 from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. 

Additionally, curbside voting is available to all voters for this election. Please call ahead or from your vehicle upon arriving if you would like curbside voting service. Due to COVID-19, any Virginia voter can request an absentee ballot using reason code 2A. 

While in-person absentee voting will be available from May 4 through June 20, Charlottesville Voter Registration and the Department Elections still strongly advises voters to cast mail absentee ballots.
