Interim City Manager to Host a Citizen Budget Forum This Evening
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – Interim City Manager, Michael C. Rogers, will host a Citizen Budget Forum this evening from 6-8 PM at Carver Recreation Center.
"The citizen forum is critical to understanding community priorities, identifying opportunities and solutions," says Michael C. Rogers, Interim City Manager. "I hope that we have strong community participation and input that I may consider as a part of my own budget presentation."
During the event, the City Manager and key City staff will discuss the mechanics of the City budget, identify budget priorities, and then open the floor for input by residents on their budget priorities and questions. Khristina Hammill, Director of the Office of Budget and Management, believes that "the budget is a continuous process that aims to facilitate participation from all of its stakeholders. This forum is a great opportunity for the City team to receive input from the community."
