Charlottesville Parks & Recreation Offering Hiring Bonus For Summer Camp Staff
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - Charlottesville Parks & Recreation is offering incentive bonuses to boost hires for summer ’23. Charlottesville Parks & Recreation offers fun, rewarding, and enriching summer activities for children and young adults through our Day Camps, Adaptive Camps, and Inclusion Program. Incentive Bonuses:
- $250 Signing Bonus for all Summer Camp Staff
- $250 End of Camp Bonus
- Day Camp and Inclusion Staff: 180 hours or more of work between 6/12-7/28
- Adaptive Camp Staff: 180 hours or more of work between 6/12-7/28
- Monthly Summer Camp Appreciation Days
- Monthly Lunch Drawings
Camp Positions:
- Camp Counselor I ($15.00/hour)
- Must be 16 years old to apply
- Camp Counselor II ($16.00/hour)
- Must be 18 years old to apply
- Assistant Camp Director ($17.00 - $17.33/hour)
- Must be 18 years old to apply
- Camp Counselor II – Inclusion ($16.00 - $16.50/hour)
- Must be 18 years old to apply
- Camp Inclusion Coordinator ($23.00/hour)
- Must be 21 years old to apply
- Camp Counselor II – Adaptive ($16.00 - $16.50/hour)
- Must be 18 years old to apply
- Camp Director – Adaptive ($23.00/hour)
- Must be 21 years old to apply
- Position requires up to 40 hours weekly, hours may occur between the hours of 7:30am – 5:30pm (typically an 8-hour shift)
- Required to attend training the week of June 12
- Camp Counselors have the option of working Ultimate Adventure Camp from July 31 – August 11 and Adaptative Camp from July 31 – August 4
