Charlottesville Fire Department (CFD) Now Accepting Firefighter/EMT Applications
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – CFD is seeking non-certified and certified candidates for the position of Firefighter from now until March 13th, 2023 at 5 p.m.
CFD has announced the 2023 hiring process for the position of Firefighter/EMT. We are currently accepting applications online from now until March 13th at 5 p.m. Our Firefighter/Medic position is also open and continuous.

Previous experience is optional; however, we highly encourage those we are certified to apply. Necessary skills and certifications will be provided through our training academy. Starting pay is $47,698.56. Being a firefighter is physically and emotionally demanding, but it is also a very rewarding career.
