City Manager Tarron Richardson closes City Hall for a time of reflection and remembrance of August 12, 2017
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - City Manager Tarron Richardson has announced the closure of Charlottesville City Hall on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 for a time of reflection and remembrance of August 12, 2017.
City offices will return to their partially OPEN status on Thursday, August 13, 2020. During the COVID-19 pandemic, visits to some departments are by appointment only. Please review the departmental status updates on the City’s Coronavirus web page.
The announcement follows a statement by the City Manager calling upon the community to follow all aspects of the local COVID-19 ordinance, specifically the wearing of face coverings and adherence to the gathering limits. The well-being of our City relies on the commitment of every community member to the safety of our fellow residents. We ask you to join us in safely observing this anniversary.
