Due to Albemarle County’s removal of the At Ready statue in Court Square on Saturday, September 12, 2020, the following streets in downtown Charlottesville and around the Albemarle County Court House will be closed beginning at 12 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2020:
- 4th Street NE from East High Street to East Jefferson Street.
- East Jefferson Street from 4th Street NE to Park Street.
- There will be no parking in this area.
The streets will reopen to traffic once the statue removal project is completed, but no later than 7 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2020. Drivers are advised to find alternate routes.
