On November 5, 2020, at approximately 2137 hours, Charlottesville Police officers responded for a reported shooting in the 900 block of South First Street.
Arriving officers located a male with a gunshot wound and began immediate life-saving efforts until paramedics arrived on the scene.
Dre’Shawn Rayvon McDonald, a 27-year-old resident of Charlottesville, was transported to UVA Hospital where a short time later he was pronounced dead. The Charlottesville Police Department
sends their condolences to the family and friends of McDonald.
An investigation into this shooting began immediately, as officers, forensic personnel, and detectives worked through the night. This morning, warrants were obtained for Tajuan Rahmeen Allen, a 22-year-old resident of Fluvanna County.
Allen is wanted for:
- 2nd degree murder, Virginia State Code 18.2-32
- Possession of a firearm after having been convicted of a violent felony, Virginia State Code 18.2-308.2
Allen is 5'6'' tall, 175 lbs, with black eyes and black hair, and should be considered armed and dangerous. If you know Allen’s whereabouts, please immediately call 911.
