Landmark Tree Photo Safari

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - Charlottesville is home to magnificent old trees, many of them right in the city! Winter is a wonderful time to see the impressive tree crown without its cover of leaves. Go on a Landmark Tree Photo Safari before February 25, 2021 and be entered to win our grand prize, a hammock from Eagles Nest Outfitters.

Using resources developed by the Charlottesville Area Tree Stewards and their Notable Trees website, find and photograph seven of the Landmark Trees, which include a White Ash, Basswood, American Elm, Sycamore, and a variety of oaks.

Show us that you visited seven different Landmark trees using the iNaturalist phone app to be entered to win the grand prize. The winner will be announced on March 1, 2021.

There is no registration for this program, and it is free and open to all.  Please visit www.charlottesville.gov/1405/Landmark-Tree-Photo-Safari for more information and how to participate in this program.
