[ARCHIVED] Mario Jarman Hodges pleads guilty to attempted rape, malicious wounding, and abduction

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - Today in Charlottesville Circuit Court, Mario Jarman Hodges pleaded guilty to attempted rape, malicious wounding, and abduction. He is scheduled to be sentenced on May 25, 2021, and faces up to forty years in prison.

Charlottesville Commonwealth’s Attorney Joe Platania, who is prosecuting Mr. Hodges, stated, “The survivor in this case saved her own life. She was violently attacked by a stranger and she defended herself until a fellow citizen could call 911. The Charlottesville Police Department is also to be commended for its swift identification and apprehension of the defendant.”
