Cville Plans Together: Review the Draft Future Land Use Map and other Draft Comprehensive Plan Updates through May 31

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The City of Charlottesville announces an opportunity to review draft Comprehensive Plan revisions as part of Cville Plans Together.

The City is working in partnership with a consultant team on an effort to update Charlottesville’s Comprehensive Plan (including an Affordable Housing Plan) and then complete a zoning ordinance rewrite. This project, called Cville Plans Together, is an opportunity for the community to actively participate in updating the future vision for the city, with a focus on equity and affordability.

The draft Affordable Housing Plan was discussed with the community in November 2020. The final plan was endorsed by the Council on March 1, 2021, and recommendations have been incorporated into to the draft Comprehensive Plan updates. The Affordable Housing Plan will also be included as an Appendix to the Comprehensive Plan.

The community is encouraged to review the draft Future Land Use Map and other draft Comprehensive Plan updates and provide comments through May 31. All materials are available on the Cville Plans Together website. You can also learn more and share your input in other ways, outlined below.

Two interactive webinars focused on the draft Comprehensive Plan revisions

These two webinars will be held via Zoom. The same content will be presented at both sessions, followed by time for community comments. A recording of both webinars will be shared on the website.
