Charlottesville City Offices will be closed for Thanksgiving Thursday, November 28, 2023 and Friday, November 29, 2023.

Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT) will operate their Extended Lifeline Service.

City Trash and Recycling Services 

There will be no residential curbside trash or recycling collection on Thanksgiving Day, November 28. Service will resume on Friday November 29, one day behind, and the "sliding" schedule will complete on Saturday, November 30.

The uptown and downtown business route will be provided one collection for trash and recycling on November 28 – Thanksgiving Day. This collection will begin at 7 AM.
