Charlottesville City Offices will be closed Wednesday, January 1, 2025 in observance of New Year's.

Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT) will operate normally as scheduled.

City Trash and Recycling Services 

There will be no residential curbside trash or recycling collection New Year's Day, January 1, 2025. Trash and recycling collection will resume Thursday, January 2, one day behind schedule.

The uptown and downtown business route will be provided one collection on New Year's Day starting at 4:00 PM.
