Charlottesville City Offices will be closed Monday, May 26, 2025 in observance of Memorial Day. 

Charlottesville Area Transit 

Charlottesville Area Transit will operate as normally scheduled.

City Trash and Recycling Services 

There will be no residential curbside trash or recycling collection on Memorial Day, May 26. Service will resume on Tuesday, May 27, one day behind, and the "sliding" schedule will complete on Saturday, May 31.

The uptown and downtown business route will be provided one collection for trash and recycling on Memorial Day. This collection will begin at 7 AM.
