Public Works Crews Working to Clear Safe Routes to School Sidewalks
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – To help accessible pedestrian travel for our City students and community members, Public Works crews are actively clearing sidewalks and ADA ramps within the designated Safe Routes to School program areas of ice and snow accumulation after the recent winter storm.
These routes were developed to help students walk to and from their schools and help promote alternative modes of travel and an active lifestyle.
