Traffic Advisory: Construction utility work at Emmet Street N and Earhart Street

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – Permitted activity will occur within the southbound lanes of Emmet Street N at its intersection with Earhart Street between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Thursday, December 11 as well as Tuesday, December 16 through Thursday, December 18 (weather permitting).

Expect the temporary deactivation of the traffic signal, lane closures, pedestrian detours, and flagging operations through the intersection during these dates and times. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and to exercise due caution should it become necessary to do so. The intersection will be restored to full functionality and access at the end of each workday. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation as we work to facilitate the construction of a world class city.
