Office of Sustainability to Co-Host “A Solarized Climate Café” With the Community Climate Collaborative and the Local Energy Alliance Program
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – In partnership with the Community Climate Collaborative (C3) and the Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP), the City’s climate café series is back for Earth Month 2025! April’s café will kick off LEAP’s 11th annual Solarize Virginia campaign, designed to make solar power more accessible and affordable for homeowners across the state.
Join us on Friday, April 11th at the Bradbury from 9:30-11AM to chat with other solar-curious community members, renewable energy experts, and advocates from across the community about resources and opportunities for promoting access to solar power in our region. There will also be information about the new Energy Resource Hub, which supports community members in making their homes and businesses more energy-efficient.
The Solarize Virginia program is an annual initiative by LEAP that seeks to lower energy costs for families, reduce their carbon footprint, and contribute to a cleaner environment. By working with trusted, vetted solar installers, Solarize Virginia offers competitive pricing and discounts, making solar power more affordable than ever.
Those who are interested in joining Solarize Virginia can sign up for a free solar satellite assessment and access discounted rates until July 15th.
