Office of Sustainability and Community Climate Collaborative to Host “A Community Climate Café on All Things EVs” and Feature Generation 180

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – In the spirit of bringing together community members who are interested in sustainability and climate action, the Office of Sustainability and Community Climate Collaborative are hosting a series of Climate Cafés.

Climate Cafés are a unique method of engaging in an open and inclusive space to share ideas, resources, information, and opportunities for local and regional action.

Each bi-monthly gathering is free and open to all and will address a distinct theme related to climate resilience or local climate action. By highlighting community-based organizations whose work directly engages with the month’s theme, it is the hope that these gatherings will connect community members with organizations that align with their interests and passions.

December’s café will spotlight Generation 180’s advocacy tools and resources as our featured partner in our discussion on “all things EVs”, focusing on increasing access to electric vehicles, expanding existing charging infrastructure, and improving transportation equity.

Whether you are a long-time EV driver or simply curious about electric transportation, this is a welcoming space to dive into a variety of topics like EV adoption, share information and insights, and join a community committed to achieving a healthy environment and a resilient Charlottesville.

Join the discussion on Friday, December 13th from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at The Bradbury! Register HERE (link).
