CPD Investigates Shooting Near 7 ½ St SW
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - On July 9, 2025, at approximately 12:09AM, Charlottesville police officers were called to the area of the 600 block of 7 ½ St SW in relation to shots being fired.
Shortly after officers responded to the incident, a 40-year-old Fluvanna County resident arrived at the hospital with apparent gunshot wounds. The victim is currently listed in critical but stable condition.
CPD detectives and forensics units then responded to the scene. A search warrant was executed at a residence in the 600 block of 7½ Street SW, where evidence related to the shooting was recovered.
