Water is an essential component of life itself. In order to ensure its availability, while saving you money at the same time, it is crucial that everyone practice good water conservation, especially in times of drought. The City has developed a comprehensive water conservation program to encourage and enable every resident to save water.

The Water Conservation Program supports the City's Energy and Water Management Program (EWMP), which works to save energy and water in City managed facilities. The EWMP develop quarterly outreach to Charlottesville City School students to help them develop good behaviors to save water and energy at school.
