Chief Kochis Appointed to Governor-Elect Spanberger’s Public Safety Transition Committee


CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - Charlottesville Police Chief Michael Kochis has been selected to serve on Governor-elect Abigail Spanberger’s transition committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security Policy.

 The committee is currently developing policy recommendations for the Governor-elect on key public safety and homeland security issues.

“It’s an honor to have the opportunity to contribute to the Governor-elect’s transition efforts and to share perspectives on public safety. ,” said Chief Kochis. 

“Helping develop thoughtful policy recommendations on important public safety topics is a meaningful way to ensure our communities remain safe while building trust and accountability.”
